A rare piece of Tarot history finds new life in the Anima Antiqua line, displaying all the historic charm of the legendary Marseille tradition.
This unique piece belongs to the tradition of Tarot de Besançon—from the name of the French town where these kinds of cards were originally printed. Produced by Baptiste-Paul Grimaud between 1891 and 1899, this deck curiously substitutes the Arcana of the High Priestess and the Hierophant with the figures of Juno and Jupiter. Being part of the long-lasting—and still wildly popular—French tradition, this deck represents an important branch of the Marseille genealogical tree.
As any other product of the Anima Antiqua line, this too is available in a limited edition of 3,999 copies.
About the Author

What can I order?
Most items on our website can be ordered to your home. Please note that all of our event tickets are e-tickets only!
Can I just pick it up from your shop?
Yes! Please make sure you select the "I would like to collect my order in store" option during the checkout. You can see our opening hours and shop location on our contact page!
How much does it cost?
It is £7.50 for parcels up to 10kg.
Collecting your order from our shop is free!
When will my order arrive?
The majority of our parcels are shipped with a two-day tracked service by Royal Mail (Tracked 48). They are usually picked up the day after you've placed the order.
Please note: We no longer deliver to Northern Ireland.
Why have your prices gone up?
Most couriers have raised their prices at the beginning of the year which made our deliveries more expensive.
I'm not in the UK, can I order from you anyway?
Sorry, for now we are not offering deliveries outside the UK as the delivery charges are astronomical. If there's something you can't find elsewhere, we may be able to do a custom quote for you. Please get in touch.Returns
If you are not completely satisfied with your order, we guarantee to exchange any goods or refund the cost of the item, provided you contact us within 14 days of receiving your order.
