Eclectic games is Reading's only dedicated specialist games shop. Whether
you are looking for a small, quick game to play on your train journey, an
epic, involving strategy game for a long weekend or a high-quality
classic game as a special gift, at eclectic games we have them all.
Alongside our extensive range of traditional and classic games for all
budgets (including Chess, Backgammon, Go, Mah Jong, Bridge and so on)
eclectic games offers family and hobby boardgames, Euro games,
collectible card games, roleplaying games, jigsaw puzzles and miniatures
games.
We carry a diverse range of products, and if a particular item is not on the shelf, we can quickly order it for you from one of our many suppliers. If a game is old, out of print or otherwise generally unavailable, we can use our industry contacts to try and find you a copy at an agreed price. We also offer more than just a good shopping experience, we are dedicated to supporting the games we sell. We run a variety of regular tournaments and participation events at the shop and we have plenty of playing space available for "drop-in games" of many kinds. We are active in many of the Organised Play programs run by the various games manufacturers to support their player communities, as well as organising our own independent events. Every month, we will run a minimum of one event (and sometimes as many as six!) for the following games: Magic: The Gathering, UFS, World of Warcraft CCG, Raw Deal, Horrorclix, and Dreamblade. We will also be running tournaments for D&D Minis, Starwars Minis, Heroclix and Vampire: The Eternal Struggle, usually tied in to the previews and releases of new sets for these lines. We are open Monday to Saturday from 10 am until 6 pm. Evening events typically start from 6:30 pm and run until 11 pm (ish), depending on numbers. |
