EclectiCon II will be held at eclectic games in Reading on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th March.


Confirmed guests include noted game designer Rob Daviau over from the USA; Adrien Martinot, General Manager of the award-winning Days of Wonder publishing studio; James Wallis, designer of storytelling games Once Upon a Time and The Adventures of Baron Munchausen; and Steve Buckmaster, Managing Director of Esdevium Games, the UK and Europe's leading distributor of hobby games.


Day tickets for the event are £10, or a weekend ticket for both days is available for £15.


Event schedule-

Saturday

10am doors open

11am 60 minute Seminar 'Designing and selling games for different markets' with Rob Daviau, Adrien Martinot, James Wallis and Steve

Buckmaster. Chair - Dr Esther MacCallum-Stewart.

2pm - An epic recounting of the deeds, adventures and escapades of the renowned Baron Munchausen and his companions, hosted by his descendant

Mr James Wallis, with interjections from the assembled company, and such notables as M. Martinot, Robert Daviau Esq. and Mr Buckmaster.

6pm Gaming Pub Quiz - teams of up to five people will compete to win prizes, along with the challenge of beating the score of the celebrity team composed of our industry guests.

Sunday

10am doors open

11am 60 minute Seminar 'How do Games innovate in an increasingly saturated market?' with Rob Daviau, Adrien Martinot and Steve Buckmaster.

Chair - Dr Esther MacCallum-Stewart.

2pm Pandemic Survival Team Event. Teams of two compete to either save the world by discovering cures to the deadly diseases stalking the globe or or else emerge triumphant as the last team standing.

Anticipated closing time 6pm


Throughout the weekend, there will be open gaming space, and eclectic games' collection of boardgames will be available to play. There may also be some sneak previews of upcoming games not yet generally released, and if they are not involved in a program item, the guests will be available to chat, play games and and talk to other gamers old and new.
